Traveler, therapist, teacher, and student of the world, Lauren, has landed the opportunity to teach English abroad in Rome, Italy!

If you haven’t guessed, I’m Lauren and I hope to travel the world full-time writing, teaching, and creating for a living. This is my story:

The travel bug bit me across the pond in Sydney, Australia 4 short years ago. From there, I have found myself shipwrecked in Fiji, living out of a Scooby Doo-style Mystery Machine in New Zealand, and soaking up the West Coast sun.

With Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” playing softly through my Volkswagen-van wannabe Hyundai Tuscon on the highway, I found myself a home on the road again ~ a wide open space I hope to spend most of my twenties.

I was 22 when I uprooted my life across the country in Colorado to teach children to snowboard. What started as a hobby to confront my seasonal depression easily became a way of life. Moving across the country from my home – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Denver, Colorado gave me the confidence to pursue my wildest dreams of solo female travel all over the world!

I started this blog not only to share my past, present and future journeys all across the globe, but to inspire individuals like yourselves to venture outside your comfort zones. Throughout the years, travel has become my therapy. I hope that you grow to see the world as a book, and understand that if you do not step outside of your comfort zone, you will read only a page.

I am often asked, “How do you take care of your mental health while traveling?”, “How can you afford to travel so much?”& “How can I travel on a budget?” Stay tuned! I’m here to answer those questions & more.

Thanks for reading. Ciao!
